It’s a story about „the artist mansfield“ – it’s a „concept album“ of sorts. People can expect a very honest, relevant album, lässt uns die Künstlerin wissen. Das Album startet mit „Fragments“, hier zeigt sie bereits auf, lässt Ihr Können leicht schimmern und alles geht Richtung Ballade, um mit dem nächsten Song ein wenig in Richtung Country/Folk Pop abzubiegen, „Fade away“ kann überzeugen. „Does anybody want to save the world“, gibt uns dann ein wenig Zeit zum Nachdenken bzw. fordert uns dazu auf. Darauf folgen „That was then“, einer meiner Anspieltipps, neben „It’s complicated“, „It’s hard to say“ und “Remnants“ das den krönenden Abschluss bildet. Ein Album, gleichsam eine musikalische Reise der Selbstfindung mit emotionalen Themen, getragen und verpackt im Rucksack namens Leben.

Tired, wired and inspired……

Who inspired you to make music in general?

Even from an early age, I have always felt compelled to make music. I’m inspired and enjoy using my creative voice, it’s a privilege to share my songs with everyone.

What can the listeners expect from your new album?

It’s a story about „the artist mansfield“ – it’s a „concept album“ of sorts. People can expect a very honest, relevant album; a musical and lyrical experience that resonates with the listener.

When do you say or decide that a song is ready for a release?

Some would say a song is never ready and there is truth in that, but at some point as an artist you have to trust your instincts and believe in yourself. You know when it’s ready.

What is the most useful talent you have?

I have a knack for being positive, ambitious and extremely determined.

What do you prefer more, a live gig or a studio session?

I enjoy them both for different reasons. When I’m at a live gig, I feel empowered by the crowd’s energy and love being on stage performing! Such an incredible feeling! When I’m in the studio, I love being able to come up with new ideas or parts you can’t do live. There is some indescribable magic about being in the studio!

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

There are so many talented artists/producers out there, I’m not sure who I would most want to collaborate with.

If you could change anything in the past, what would it be?

If I were to change anything about myself, I wouldn’t be the person I am now. I would not change a thing.

How do you feel the Internet (especially Social Media platforms) has impacted the music business?

I think it’s a blessing and a curse. It’s great way to get yourself out there because you can stream/engage/reach fans anywhere in the world. It’s bad because it takes you away from making music: posting, promoting, streaming/engaging fans. It’s a full time job that can get daunting and stressful for artists. It’s definitely another tool you learn to navigate in the ever changing industry that’s for sure LOL!

What’s next for you?

I’m always writing new songs, it’s important to me. I’m working on filming some videos over the next several weeks. I’m also working on a regional tour for 2022 and other new, exciting developments that I can’t wait to share with everyone!
