Rêverie’s debut single ‚Butterfly‘ is a clear example of emotional growth. The band moves from feeling insecure and unsure of themselves to feeling self-determined and free.

The butterfly is a symbol of new beginnings and breaking free from toxic relationships. It’s about finding the strength to let go of emotional baggage and truly know yourself. The idea of ’silence‘ reflects a desire for inner peace and a genuine existence, free from other people’s expectations and judgements. Lyrically, ‚Butterfly‘ reflects the complexity of being human – the ability to process and grow from pain – and emphasises the importance of self-respect and recognising one’s own needs.

Musically, it is straightforward rock without frills. A classic five-piece line-up, with the vocals and guitars taking centre stage, but it wouldn’t sound half as good without the rhythm section. Solid drums and a good, unobtrusive bass make for a great mix of predominantly rock and light pop sprinkles. ‚Butterfly‘ by Rêverie is a very good debut, and it will be interesting to see what comes next.
