Q&A
How did your passion for music begin and what are the main influences behind your musical style and identity?
My passion for music has always been there. I took my first steps as a songwriter and singer at a young age. Growing up with the music of the late 90’s / early 00’s, mainly listening to Pop, HipHop, RnB and many more, had an impact on my own music production, too. In my teenage years, I discovered my love for EDM during its golden era. From House Music (especially Deep House) to Dubstep and DnB, there is a wide range of genres that I listened to. Back in 2021-2022, when I started my career as an independent artist/musician, I thought: „Why should I choose one genre when there are so many to explore?“ And instead of choosing one, I created my own musical universe of experimental Electronic Music and various genres/styles and vibes.
„Essentials“ sounds amazing; what do you think is the most important thing when creating an instrumental track?
Thank you so much ! In my opinion, it’s always important to keep the track alive, especially if it’s an instrumental. If there are no vocals / lyrics, you have to tell a story with the sounds to take the listeners on an adventure. Whether it’s a track with or without vocals, I always try to create the foundation of a story and turn it into an open-ended story, so that my listeners can have their own experience while listening and create their own ending to the story. I also love to build unexpected twists and drops into my tracks.
What are some of the challenges you face when working on songs?
I would dare to say that I only have one, but a big challenge: From exploring / crafting sounds and beats, to songwriting and singing, mixing and mastering, content creation and promoting, networking and so much more – I’m the team behind Céline Marie. It can be overwhelming and challenging sometimes, because it’s so much more than „just making music“, but I love every part of the process behind a song.
You also released an album in 2025, how would you describe „Basics“ for our readers?
My debut album „Basics“ will always hold a special place in my heart as it includes my first experiments in music production – Fun fact: That’s why I called it „Basics“. It’s an experimental album full of Electronic Music fused with Pop, HipHop/Trap and RnB elements. Every song tells a story and is unique in its own way. I invite you all to give it a listen and allow me to take you on a journey between danceable beats and heartfelt lyrics !
Looking back at your first songs, how would you describe the evolution of your songwriting/producing?
From time to time and with every project, especially while working on my debut album „Basics“, I always learned something new and so I try to take newly gained knowledge and unlocked skills into my following projects. Not only the knowledge about technical things, but also the sensitivity of my ears got an upgrade.

Do you have any plans to perform live on stage?
I’m constantly working on my skills as a DJ to prepare for future live performances and I’d love to get in touch with a booking agency to help me with booking opportunities / venues. My goal is to travel the world and perform at all the big EDM festivals one day.
Who is your dream person to talk to about music, regardless of their living status?
There are so many amazing people and artists/producers I’d love to talk to about music. Just to name a few – On the one hand, there’s Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears with their unique voices and known for their great performances, and on the other hand, Avicii, Martin Garrix and Skrillex who made their mark on the EDM scene.
What are you working on at the moment and what can we expect from you next?
I’m currently working on two EPs and you can expect 3 genres: House, Techno and Dubstep – And, experimental as I am, everything in between. After the EPs, I’ll be working on my second album „Essentials“. There are no release dates yet, but you can expect at least one EP this year.
