“What I wanted ft. Ed Rome” by Michelle Ward
What I Wanted” is a bold and creative departure from its original concept & reggae roots. It has a really cool mix of drum and bass and jazz influences, with layered harmonies and Michelle’s distinctive vocals that make for such a compelling listen. The real Brass on the track is by the legendary Jonathan Read. It’s a stunningly unique mix that is available for you on your all digital platforms and on the FiloFX Records Bandcamp page (-AW-)

For me, FiloFX Records has always been synonymous with sophisticated retro pop from the ’80s and ’90s, distinguished by its contemporary nuances. The latest release, „What I Wanted ft. Ed Rome“, also carries that contemporary-retro flair. Alongside Michelle Ward’s catchy vocal part, it impresses with a cool jazz drum-and-bass mix crafted by Ed Rome.
All of this comes together to create that effortlessly cool lounge vibe—the kind where you can sip a nice drink and drift between two moods: Should I hit the dance floor, or should I just soak in the scene?
This marvelous new version also features the brass of the legendary Jonathan Read, always masterfully showcased. So, in the end, we got exactly what we wanted—a very smooth dance track! (-EW-)
