„Trust Devoured“ is not a snack that you can easily digest for your dark playlist. The new EP from the cross-band project Exquisite Corpses is a deep abyss of post-punk, industrial and gothic rock, and pMad plunges headfirst into it.

Not only are the tracks musically raw and atmospheric, they also exude an existential emptiness that can be heard from afar and felt up close. „Celestial“ in particular creates a melancholic vastness, in which the lyrical ego revolves around a single lost presence. The beloved becomes a fixed star that renders all other ‚people‘ meaningless – an emotional cosmos of memory, longing and decay.

In „Feed„, the beat rolls through the chaos like a stoic heartbeat, while „Closer“ with Killtoys is a cutting dialogue between despair and defiance. It is even darker and more intense, as if the pain had been sent through a black hole. And so „Trust Devoured“ floats through the darkness like a lost thought — a musical echo that never ends, but unfolds anew in every silence.
