…was released on Friday, 28 February. Anyone who knows the band knows what’s coming: fine post-punk aesthetics of the 80s with the freshness of the Now. The mood in which Inês and Danny tell their story is sad and profound. 

A love story that does not conform to the traditional paradigm, for it is not one, at least in the sense of the conclusion. It is robust and unyielding, akin to a substantial barrier that endures the vicissitudes of life. However, with the passage of time, fissures began to emerge in this wall. Imperceptibly, almost insidiously, the stones of their love began to crumble. The former fortress they had built together began to crumble. She looks back wistfully at the fragments of their time together and wonders at what point they began to lose each other. 

Musically you find yourself in melancholic post-punk. The sound atmosphere, characterised by bass and drums, synthesizers, and guitar, displays emotions ranging from warm to cold. The sound interprets crumbling, while the vocals pay homage to melancholy and slowly draw us under their spell. 

Forgotten Garden have reopened their doors with ‚Five Minutes‘ and invite us into their world, in which Robert Smith and Lana Del Rey are accompanied by Joy Division. They paint their picture in intense colours ranging from grey to black, a picture that is fascinatingly sad.
