Once and for All – Split Vision

am

With “Once and for All”, Split Vision deliver a synth-pop moment that blurs the line between genuine emotion and artificial intimacy so thoroughly that you inevitably lose yourself in this state of limbo. The production relies on 80s-tinged synth pads that glow warmly, whilst beneath them a modern, almost clinical precision pulses. The result is a night‑city ambience, dimly glowing and alive with a subtle, restless current. Lyrically, the song moves through a space that is more reminiscent of a laboratory than a relationship. Terms such as ‘decode’, ‘test bed’ or ‘perceive’ portray the other person as someone who dissects emotions rather than lives them. It vacillates between fascination and feeling overwhelmed, between the desire for authenticity and the fear of being merely analysed. The chorus emerges as the song’s emotional anchor — a plea for humanity, for a bond untouched by distance or control. Yet in the end, there remains a resigned turn towards the physical – a final struggle against the cold, an attempt to salvage at least some form of closeness.
